Railroad Days is Happening June 12th and 13th, 2021
Dunsmuir Candidates Forum
The Dunsmuir Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a candidate forum Sunday, October 18 at 1:00 PM. Due to Covid-19, the forum will be conducted on Zoom. Candidates for city council and treasurer will participate, and measure H (the sales tax increase) will be covered. Questions can be submitted in advance by email to director@dunsmuir.com or dropped off at the Dunsmuir Chamber office. Also, people will be able to submit questions during the Zoom meeting. The Zoom address is posted below.

Format:
- Random draw will determine order.
- Each candidate is allotted a 3-minute introduction speech.
- In rotating order each candidate answers questions asked by the moderator.
- Each candidate is allotted a 2-minute wrap-up conclusion speech.
- Candidates speak at the direction of the Moderator. No interruptions of others. Save replies, responses for concluding speech.
- Questions are submitted in advance to the Chamber or directly during the event.
- All questions are vetted by forum staff.
- All questions must be appropriate for every candidate (No questions like why candidate A got a divorce in 1992).
- A timekeeper will signal you 30 seconds before speaking time is up and again when time is up.
- All persons attending the event must adhere to Covid-19 guidelines.
- A Candidates Orientation will be held at 12:45 PM. Further instructions will be given at that time.
