Dunsmuir’s CashMob will be a city wide event on Saturday from noon on with most merchants having specials to entice local shoppers. Come and be a part of the fun with prizes and lot’s of specials. See you there.
Dunsmuir Chamber of Commerce, along with Mt. Shasta Ski Park, Surf Shack, Bombs Away, the Dogwood Diner and the Fifth Season are presenting the 1st annual Dunsmuir Winterfest. This is a two day event with a Rail Jam competition on Saturday, practice opportunities on Friday and lots to see and do. We will have vendors, food, and loads of winter fun. Both Friday and Saturday night will highlight ski films, one from Forrest Coots, a local professional skier and one by Warren Miller, internationally known ski film producer. There will be many activities in town, including the traditional tree lighting, breakfast with Santa on Saturday at the community building and snow themed films for young children at the new Siskiyou Arts Musuem, sponsored by the Dunsmuir Resource Center. Best of all, there is no charge for the events, although we are asking for donations for the films. Let’s kick off winter in a big way……..Come to Dunsmuir and share in the excitement.
